As a deeply nostalgic human, I believe documenting moments in time is one of the most valuable things I can do for someone.
As far back as I can remember, I’ve been finding ways to weave together stories. As a child, it was through imaginative play with friends on the playground. Writing little stories, poems, and songs. Crafting, scrapbooking, and collaging. As I grew older, I discovered other mediums that allowed me the same creative freedoms and opened new doors. I told stories through makeup artistry, filmmaking, visual merchandising, home design, music, and photography. I found myself blooming in collaboration with others, fascinated by the intersection of others’ experiences with my own. I could help tell other people's stories by sculpting art into narrative; that’s where the root of my passion lies. Everyone has a unique and important perspective to share with the world. Everyone has memories and moments they wish to bottle up and preserve forever.
As someone who feels major discomfort in front of a camera lens, I have extreme compassion and empathy for those choosing to be documented. I understand how much trust and safety are required to relax, be present, and be your full self in someone else’s hands. Being photographed is, very simply, the act of surrendering control and letting yourself be seen. Being truly seen can be both a terrifying and exhilarating experience, but it is also imperative and invaluable. It is a gift to see ourselves mirrored back in a way that validates our internal experience of ourselves. There is tremendous depth, complexity, and contradiction to us all as humans and it is my intent to capture these many sides in all their chaos and beauty.
We are all a collection of stories, memories, and experiences. You get to choose which stories define you, and which memories to preserve. That’s where I fit in.
About
Process
Our sessions together focus on capturing you and your loved ones as you genuinely are in whatever unique moment of life you find yourself in. It’s about meeting you right where you are in an honest, intimate, and memorable way.
My creative process is always intuitive. I like to show up with ideas, visuals, and a sense of tone for the day, while also allowing for spontaneity and experimentation. Many of my favorite images have come from exploratory and unexpected moments.
I find portraiture to be a vulnerable and intimate space to be in together. It is my top priority to create an environment that feels safe, relaxed, respectful, & collaborative and that fuels authenticity, discovery, and playfulness. I will always follow your lead and only work at your personal comfort level.
I identify as a queer, neurodivergent, highly sensitive person who’s passionate about visual storytelling, self-expression, curated interiors, human stories, long hugs, and French desserts.
I value inclusion, self-care, empathy, connection, humor, compassion, and imagination.
